ACT 1
<< SPOILERS >>
Side with Minthara
– Meet & talk with her at the goblin camp
– Show her where the druid grove is located
– Meet her later at the grove to raid it
– Camp party scene automatically plays out
– Cannot recruit Karlach and Wyll
This is the “full service” Minthara option, to take her side in the tiefling / goblin conflict. The quest to find the goblin camp is first initiated from Zevlor (or Sazza, the goblin imprisoned in the grove). Zevlor tells you to kill the goblin leaders to pave a safe path for them to leave the grove. Sazza, once freed, tells you to follow her to find the goblin camp and meet the drow.
Once you find & talk with Minthara, you can choose to show her where the grove is located. You are asked to meet her there later. She then leaves to prepare the raid immediately.
At the grove, pretend to be on the tieflings’ side, but then betray them last minute and let the goblins enter the grove. You MUST kill all tielfings and goblins in the raid to completely side with her.
Once the raid is over, the camp party with goblins will play, then you have the intimate scene with her.
She leaves in the morning for Moonrise.
There are a few ways to set up events in Act 1, so you can recruit her later in Act 2. You can side with Minthara and raid the grove or knock her out instead of killing her, when you side with the tieflings to raid the goblin camp.
Alternatively, you can avoid the goblin/tiefling conflict by not siding with either of them. If you continue on to Act 2, you still see Minthara at Moonrise, where you can recruit her. However, this route means you miss out on a lot of XP.
Knock her out (nonlethal)
– Initiate the Zevlor quest to side with the tieflings
– Best to knock Minthara out first (before killing Priestess Gut and Dror Ragzlin)
– Minthara must get the “temporary hostile” status when you knock her out
– Attack one of her goblin assistants first in her room, this gives her the temp hostile status
– Be sure to toggle the “nonlethal” combat option on your ability wheel then only hit her with melee to KO her
– If Minthara is on the ground with her head spinning and 1 HP, then you KO’d her right
– Can recruit Karlach and Wyll anytime
– Knocking out Minthara means you don’t get the Act 1 romance scene with her
The next time you see Minthara will be in the main room at Moonrise Towers in Act 2.
